After nearly two months of intense competition, Hell’s Kitchen Season 16 crowned its champion on Monday night.
And the winner is …
Ja’Nel Witt!
Witt, a 31-year-old executive chef from Houston, Texas, defeated her rival, Brett Capraro, in a closely contested finale.
Witt had been a frontrunner throughout the season, but she faced some tough competition in the final rounds.
In the end, her culinary skills and her positive attitude won over the judges.
“You are an amazing chef,” said Gordon Ramsay, one of the show’s judges. “You have passion, you have drive, you have ambition.”
Witt is the first female chef to win Hell’s Kitchen.
“It feels amazing,” she said after being declared the winner. “I worked so hard for this, and I’m just so happy that all of my hard work paid off.”
Witt will now head to Ramsay’s flagship restaurant, The London, where she will serve as head chef.
“I’m so excited to work with Ja’Nel,” Ramsay said. “She has the potential to be one of the best chefs I have ever worked with.”

What happened to season 16 winner of Hell’s Kitchen?
